Although this Cordoba Cadete is usually a little more costly than your average 3/4 Classical Guitar, it is a nicely made instrument with beautiful sound and wood quality. The Yamaha on the right is an economical alternative.

I use and recommend D'Addario Pro-Arte EJ45-3D for Classical Guitars. D'Addario also makes great steel and electric guitar strings.


I find Korg usually produces very accurate tuners. I particularly like this Korg model because it is both a tuner and metronome.

These are crucial during winter months to keep the wood from drying too much, especially if you own a good instrument. I currently use the Dampit snake, but many of my students have given me nice reviews about the Oasis Humidifier


When practicing, I switch between the A-Frame and the foot stool. It allows me to rest my back and left leg when practicing for many hours.
